Rom News! HHL and EADA start a joint International Executive MBA Program

Geschrieben am Mittwoch, dem 05. Oktober 2011 von Rom-News-247.de

Rom Infos
Freie-PM.de: With the International Executive MBA Program, two of the leading business schools in Germany and Spain offer a joint program for executives starting in October 2012. The part-time program, designed by German HHL - Leipzig Graduate School of Management and Spanish Escuela de Alta Dirección y Administración (EADA), will be completely in English and focuses on the peculiarities and similarities of business practices in Western European countries (especially Germany and Spain). In addition, participants will gain insight into the economy and culture of the Chinese, Brazilian and Indian markets.

The structure of the 18-month MBA program is suited to the professional and personal needs of international executives. To obtain the "Executive MBA" dual degree at HHL and EADA participants have to successfully pass a total of ten six-day course weeks spread over 18 months on different management disciplines as well as complete a Master thesis. The International Executive MBA Program consists of eight core modules, of which four will take place in Germany and four in Spain. Further modules are to be completed at reputable business schools in Brazil, China or India. Participants will have to choose 2 modules out of these 3 elective ones.

Admission requirements for the International Executive MBA Program are a Bachelor or Master degree or its equivalent, minimum 7 years professional experience, at least three years leadership experience and a very good command of English. The tuition fees, including course material, accommodation, breakfast and lunch during the residential weeks amount to EUR 41,000. Applications are being accepted as of now. Further information: www.hhl.de/IExecMBA

"Our new International Executive MBA Program not only raises the executives' awareness for European economic and cultural peculiarities but also offers an insight into the Brazilian, Chinese and Indian markets. This makes the program so attractive for Western European companies with business relations to these countries. Participants not only benefit from the international faculty but also from their fellow students from different countries and business sectors", emphasizes HHL Dean Prof. Andreas Pinkwart. "With the International Executive MBA Program we have created the first part-time management program by two reputable educational institutions with a German-Spanish perspective. Participants not only gain European business contacts but also access to the South American and Asian markets via our extensive networks", adds EADA's General Director Miquel Espinosa Sáenz.

Dr. Mark-Ken Erdmann, CIO Corporate Center, Bertelsmann AG, says: "The challenges executives of international companies are facing continue to rise. In addition to a profound set of management skills, intercultural and regional know-how are becoming more and more important. The International Executive MBA Program of HHL and EADA teaches exactly these core competencies in a practice-oriented manner and at the same time offers a truly remarkable international flair."

In addition to the development of managerial core competencies, training of key qualifications, such as communication management, negotiation techniques, conflict, diversity as well as intercultural management are an integral part of the curriculum of the International Executive MBA Program.

HHL and EADA have a long tradition in the academic education of executives and are well-renowned in their countries for being particularly strong in the research of innovation management, strategic management as well as strengthening and development of leadership skills. The two institutions HHL and EADA between them hold three international accreditations: AACSB, AMBA and EQUIS.

HHL - Leipzig Graduate School of Management

HHL is a university-level institution and ranks amongst the leading international business schools. The goal of the oldest business school in German-speaking Europe is to educate effective, responsible and entrepreneurially minded leaders. In addition to HHL's international focus the combination of theory and practice plays a key role. HHL stands out for its excellent teaching, its clear research focus, its effective knowledge transfer into practice as well as its outstanding student services. The courses of study include full and part-time Master in Management as well as MBA programs, a Doctoral program and Executive Education. In the 2011 Financial Times Masters in Management ranking HHL's full-time M.Sc. Program was ranked 19th in the world. With a leap forward of 19 places HHL has been climber of the year 2011 in this ranking in which it also holds 4th place for the salaries of alumni as well as 1st place for its "Entrepreneurship" orientation. In the 2010 Financial Times European Business School Ranking HHL reached 59th place. In the current ranking by the Latin-American business magazine AméricaEconomía HHL scored 33rd place and is therefore the best German business school in this ranking. Further information: www.hhl.de

The EADA Business School

EADA Business School (Escuela de Alta Dirección y Administración) is an international business school located in Barcelona. It offers programs for Masters, MBA and Executive Education. EADA's MBA program is ranked among the 100 best MBA programs in the world by The Economist and the Financial Times, where for 2011 it ranks 84th worldwide. Its EMBA is also among the top 100 programs in the world (Financial Times 2009 and 2010). In addition, EADA has consistently been ranked among the top four business schools in Spain. In the 2010 Financial Times European Business School Ranking EADA reached the 27th place.
