Thema: Rom Infos

HHL Leipzig Graduate School of Management improved on its position in the current Financial Times Ranking of European Business Schools from number 44 to number 23, placing it among the best German Business Schools. Leaping 21 places HHL is once again the premier achiever of the year. Its Master Program in Management (M.Sc.) ranks under the Top 10 in Europe, and under the best two in Germany.
This is the result of the Financial Times' ranking "European Business Schools 2013" published today, which is the leading ranking in Europe.

HHL Dean Prof. Dr. Andreas Pinkwart says: "HHL's latest ranking success is a great motivation and validation of our HHL Future Concept innovate125 with which we want to lead HHL to the pinnacle of European business schools in the coming years. Our profile as an international, research-oriented and entrepreneurial business school proves to have sustainable success and yet again receives important recognition through this ranking."

Luisa Wasilewski, student in the Master Program in Management (M.Sc.) at HHL, says: "HHL stands out not only by its excellence in academic education but also by its great network and its strong community combined with opportunities to excel.

The FT "Masters in Management" ranking is considered to be the most comprehensive and significant catalogue of the best Management programs in Europe. It is based on the combination of the five single rankings MBA, Master in Management, Executive MBA, as well as open and company specific further education programs in 2013. Its main criteria for evaluating schools are salary levels and career data of previous course participants, and the schools' structure, internationality and research activities.

The Master Program in General Management (MBA) (full-time and part-time) at HHL

The MBA program offered by HHL - both as a full-time and part-time course - which is taught in English is considered one of the best independently developed programs of this kind in Germany. The proportion of international students in this HHL program constitutes approximately 80 percent, an outstanding figure in the global comparison of full-time MBA programs. Since its introduction in the year 2000, the 12- to 18-month full-time MBA program has focused on teaching management and leadership skills in a global context. This is supported by an innovative curriculum which is no longer structured in a purely functional manner but also follows an interdisciplinary approach in accordance with the challenges in management (Managing Investors, Managing Society, Managing Customers etc.). This cross-functional, stakeholder-oriented approach combines the contents of the individual courses and offers students a significantly added value. The practical relation is ensured by teaching content with practical relevance including case studies, a field project accompanying the program or an optional internship abroad. International Management is not only taught but also a part of everyday life at HHL thanks to the international background among students and professors. The international cross-linking of the program is represented by substantial cooperation with universities abroad. From Australia to Uruguay - HHL has more than 110 partner universities worldwide. The students have the opportunity to spend one term at one of these partner universities. The intensive and professional counseling for students from the initial contact to the alumni network must be emphasized. A Careers Service accompanies students from the day they are admitted to the program until the successful job application. http://www.hhl.de/mba>http://www.hhl.de/mba or http://www.hhl.de/part-time-mba

The Master Program in Management (M.Sc.) (full-time and part-time) at HHL

HHL's English-language Master Program in Management (M.Sc.) both as a full-time and a part-time course covers a broad scope of economic topics and builds on a Bachelor's degree in Economics. HHL attaches particular importance to teaching soft skills. Courses such as Problem Solving & Communication, Negotiation or International Management Competencies represent an inherent part of the training. The 21 to 24-month program (and the 24-month part-time M.Sc. Program) offers eight fields of specialization, i.e. Finance, Accounting, Marketing, Logistics & Supply Chain Management, Entrepreneurship, Advanced Economics and Advanced General Management. By choosing four electives the students can set a topical focus for the career to which they are aspiring. In addition to a term abroad at one of over 110 universities partnered with HHL, the curriculum of this 21 to 24-month full-time program also encompasses an internship. Excellent business contacts as well as a professional Career Service provide top career opportunities for the alumni. http://www.hhl.de/msc>http://www.hhl.de/msc or
